5 Unusual Ways to Use a Toothpaste Other Than your Teeth

A toothpaste does an excellent job in keeping your teeth clean, white and sparkly. But here we will look into interesting and creative ways to use it around the house.

1.  Remove stains from clothes

Most toothpastes contain titanium dioxide powder and baking soda for whitening teeth, and these also act as a great cleaning agent for getting stains out.

2. Clean Dirty Shoes

This trick works great with running shoes and leather shoes. All you need to do is apply toothpaste directly to the scuffed area, then rub clean with a brush.

3. Clean dirty finger nails 

My hands are stained.

For  cleaner and shinier nails, scrub the underneath and top of the nails with a toothbrush and some toothpaste.

4. Remove scratches on DVD’s and CD’s

This trick works well on small scratches and smudges. All you need to do is apply some toothpaste on the damaged area, rub gently with a cloth and rinse.

5.  Make silver jewellery sparkle


Rub toothpaste onto jewelry and leave it overnight. Wipe clean with a soft cloth in the morning.
